Last updated: 27th July 2026
RWinvest Group is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data.
This policy describes how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us, whether at the enquiry stage, during a reservation or purchase, or in the ongoing course of our relationship with you. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. In this policy, “we, us or our” means the relevant RWinvest entity (as defined below). References to “you” mean the individual whose personal information we collect, use and process, whether that information is collected on our website www.rw-invest.com, on a development-specific website we operate, in person, by telephone or otherwise.
References to a “developer” mean the company that owns and/or is developing the particular development you enquire about, and on whose behalf we market units for sale.
We are a “controller”, meaning we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you. Where a development is being marketed on behalf of a developer, that developer may also be a controller of certain information for its own purposes, in which case it will process that information under its own privacy policy, for which it is responsible; where that is the case, it is explained in the relevant sections below. RW Invest North Ltd is the operator of regency-works.co.uk and the
controller for data collected through it.

It is important that you read this policy, together with any other privacy notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal information about you, so that you are aware of how and why we are using your information.
Data Protection Principles
We will comply with data protection law. This says that the personal information we hold about you must be:
- Used lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way.
- Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained to you and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.
- Relevant to the purposes we have told you about and limited only to those purposes.
- Accurate and kept up to date.
- Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes we have told you about.
- Kept securely.
The Stages at Which We Process Your Information
We deal with your personal information at three main stages, and the purposes and lawful bases differ at each:
- Enquiry stage. When you first contact us, request a brochure or investment guide, register interest in a development, or ask us to call you back. At this stage, we process your contact details and the details of your enquiry so that we can respond to you, understand what you are looking for and, where you have agreed, send you marketing.
- Reservation stage. When you decide to reserve a property. At this stage, we collect the additional information needed to process the reservation and, where relevant, share it with the developer and solicitors.
- Post-purchase / ongoing relationship. After completion, for customer care, construction updates, payment administration and (where you have agreed) further marketing from us or, where separately consented, from the developer or its group.
The Kind of Information We Hold About You
Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
There are “special categories” of more sensitive personal data which require a higher level of protection. We do not currently process special category personal data but will update you should this position change.
We may collect, store and use the following categories of personal information about you:
- Personal contact details such as name, title, addresses, telephone numbers and personal email addresses, including social media handles and messaging service identifiers (e.g. WhatsApp and SMS).
- Technical data, including IP addresses, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, and time-zone setting.
- Job title and place of work.
- Demographic information such as your postcode.
- Information about your use of our website and communications systems (for example, the searches you undertake, your preferences and the properties and pages you look at).
- Information you provide to us in any correspondence.
- Bank account details.
- Identity verification documentation (including certified photographic ID such as passports and driving licences, bank statements and utility bills).
- Date of birth.
- Gender.
- Financial data, including bank account and payment card details for accounting purposes, payment approvals and refunds/reimbursements. Card details are destroyed after the payment is taken.
How Is Your Personal Information Collected?
We typically collect personal information about you through:
- Enquiry, brochure-request, guide-download and callback forms on our website and on development-specific websites we operate.
- Directly over the telephone and in face-to-face meetings. We may monitor and/or record phone calls for quality assurance and customer satisfaction purposes.
- Email correspondence. When you receive emails from us, we gather metrics such as whether you opened the email, clicked on particular elements, or whether your device supports HTML-based email.
- Advertising and listing channels we use, such as property portals (including Zoopla and Rightmove) and search and social advertising platforms (for example, Google and Meta). These marketing channels are used by RW Invest Group, Regency Works site itself runs no advertising or remarketing cookies. When you submit an enquiry to us through one of these channels, we receive the enquiry details you choose to provide; we do not obtain any additional personal data about you from them.
- Cookies and similar technologies on our websites, in accordance with our Cookie Policy.
We may collect additional personal information about you during your relationship with us. We do not supplement the data you provide with personal data obtained from publicly available sources.
The Lawful Bases on Which We Use Your Information
We will only use your personal information when the law allows us to. The lawful bases we rely on are:
- Consent – where you have given clear, specific consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see “Marketing” and “Cookies” below).
- Performance of a contract – where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform a contract we have entered into with you.
- Legal obligation – where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation (for example, anti-money-laundering identity checks).
- Legitimate interests – where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party (including a developer), provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we set out below what that interest actually is.
Where We Rely on Legitimate Interests – Our Interests and Those of Developers
Where we rely on legitimate interests, the specific interests being pursued are:
- Our own interest in operating and growing our property sales business: responding to enquiries efficiently, understanding the market and buyer demand, matching enquirers to suitable investments, keeping internal records, improving our services and protecting our business against fraud and non-payment.
- The developer’s interest (the developer of the specific development you enquire about — for example, where a development is being marketed on behalf of a developer such as GIA Leeds Limited). The developer has a legitimate interest in RWinvest marketing and selling its units, in receiving reservation information so it can process and complete the sale, in administering interest and instalment payments, and in providing post-completion customer care in respect of the property it has built. Where we share your information with a developer so that the developer can pursue that interest, this is explained in “Sharing Your Personal Information with Third Parties” below.
In every case where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those interests against your interests, rights and freedoms, and we will not process your information in this way where your interests override ours.
The Purposes for Which We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes, on the lawful bases indicated:
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information you have requested (performance of a contract / steps prior to a contract; legitimate interests).
- To understand your needs and provide you with appropriate services, including information about properties available for sale, recommending solicitors, arranging viewings and organising meetings (performance of a contract; legitimate interests).
- To monitor and/or record telephone calls for quality assurance, training and customer-satisfaction purposes (legitimate interests).
- To process a reservation and purchase, including sharing information with the developer and solicitors (performance of a contract; legitimate interests of us and the developer).
- To carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks (legal obligation).
- To administer contracts and process interest and instalment payments (performance of a contract; legitimate interests of us and the developer).
- To provide post-completion customer care and construction updates (performance of a contract; legitimate interests of us and the developer).
- For internal record keeping and to improve our services (legitimate interests).
- To send you marketing, where you have agreed to receive it (consent).
Some of these grounds will overlap, and there may be several grounds that justify our use of your personal information. For more information, please contact dataprotection@rw-invest.com.
Marketing
Marketing by RWinvest is consent-based. Where you provide your details at the enquiry stage, we ask for a single, clear opt-in to receive marketing from RWinvest about property investments, special offers and related information by email, WhatsApp and/or SMS. Your consent is entirely voluntary.
Where a development is marketed on behalf of a developer, any separate marketing by that developer or its group companies, and any post-purchase customer care contact by the developer, are based on a separate consent captured at the reservation stage – not at the enquiry stage.
You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by following the opt-out link in any marketing message, by replying “UNSUB” to any WhatsApp or SMS message, by calling +44 (0)151 808 1250, or by emailing dataprotection@rw-invest.com. You are responsible for any message and data rates that may apply to WhatsApp or SMS.
Automated Decision Making
Automated decision-making takes place when an electronic system uses personal information to make a decision without human intervention. We do not envisage that any decisions about you will be made solely by automated means. We will notify you in writing if this position changes, and where the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 gives you the right to request human review of a significant automated decision, we will honour that right.
Sharing Your Personal Information with Third Parties
We may share your data with third parties, including third-party service providers, the developer of the development you are interested in, and professional advisers.
Why We Share Your Personal Information with Third Parties
We share your personal information with third parties in the following circumstances and for the following reasons:
- Because it is necessary to perform our contract with you – for example, sharing your reservation details and identity documents with solicitors so your purchase can be processed.
- Because it is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of the developer – the developer has a legitimate interest in receiving reservation information to process and complete the sale it is party to, in receiving bank details to administer interest and instalment payments on the property, and in providing post-completion customer care in respect of the property it has built. Sharing this information with the developer is how that legitimate interest is pursued.
- Because it is necessary for a third party’s legitimate interest in a corporate transaction – if we sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or acquire or merge with another business, the parties to that transaction have a legitimate interest in the information necessary to complete and operate it.
- Because we are required to do so by law — for example, to comply with anti-money-laundering, tax or other legal obligations.

How Secure Is My Information with Third-Party Service Providers?
All our third-party service providers are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in line with our policies. We do not allow them to use your personal data for their own purposes; we only permit them to process it for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
International Transfers
Some of the third parties we use store information outside the UK. Where we transfer your personal data outside the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection by relying on an approved transfer mechanism — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). To obtain further details and a copy of the appropriate safeguards, please contact dataprotection@rw-invest.com.

We use cookies and similar technologies on this website. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you consent; all other categories are switched off by default and load only if you opt in through the cookie banner. Full details, including a list of the cookies we use and how to change your preferences, are set out in our Cookie Policy.
Third-Party Links On Our Website
Our websites may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.
Data Security
We have put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know, and who are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have internal procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
Data Retention
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it and whether those purposes can be achieved by other means, and applicable legal requirements. Details of our retention periods are available on request from dataprotection@rw-invest.com. Where information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
If You Fail to Provide Personal Information
If you fail to provide certain information when requested, we may not be able to provide you with our services or perform a contract we have entered or are trying to enter into with you.
Your Rights
Under data protection law you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal information (a “data subject access request”).
- Request correction of personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Request erasure of your personal information where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it.
- Object to processing where we are relying on a legitimate interest and there is something about your situation which makes you want to object, and to object at any time to processing for direct marketing.
- Request restriction of processing of your personal information.
- Request transfer of your personal information to another party in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (where the processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means).
- Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent.
- Be informed of any solely automated decision-making, and — under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 — to request human review of a significant decision made by solely automated means.
- Complain to us directly about how we have collected or used your personal information, in addition to your right to complain to the ICO (see “How to Make a Complaint” below).
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) – Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, or the UK supervisory authority, at any time. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns first.
If you want to exercise any of these rights, please contact us in writing at Units 2–4, One Baltic Square, Grafton Street, Liverpool, L8 5AN or email dataprotection@rw-invest.com. You will not normally have to pay a fee. We may need to request specific information from you to confirm your identity before we act on your request. If we are unable to act on your request, we will explain why and tell you that you may complain both to the Information Commissioner’s Office and to us.
How to Make a Complaint
If you are unhappy with how we have collected or used your personal information, you can complain to us directly. You can do this by emailing dataprotection@rw-invest.com or by writing to us at the address given in the “Your Rights” section above.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it, take appropriate steps to investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed of our progress and tell you the outcome. Complaining to us does not affect your right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time.
Data Privacy Contact
We have appointed a data privacy contact to oversee compliance with this policy. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your personal information, please contact dataprotection@rw-invest.com.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Where changes are significant we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
